Interstate Bridge Closing
MnDot crews erect barricades as the last cars from Wisconsin cross the Interstate Bridge at Winona Tuesday night. MnDot Commissioner Tom Sorel ordered the brdige closed at 8:00 p.m. based on results of an inspection conducted Monday and Tuesday. Sorel said the main channel span of the bridge would remain closed indefinitely while inspection results are analyzed. Have Their Cake and Eat It Too
Bryan Atchison, 22, left, and his partner Neil Olstad, 22, team Koo Koo, compete in the championship round of the third annual Saint Mary's Cake Race on campus Thursday. The pair, who are defending champions from the previous two years, finished the cake in four minutes and 13 seconds to win the top spot of 12 teams. "We call that a three-peat," Olstad said.

Lost and Found
Bowey, a labrador retriever, takes a time out from chasing a ball Thursday, March 27 at the Winona Area Humane Society. Two local Fish and Wildlife Service workers rescued the lab, named Bowey by the humane society volunteers, from an island out past Winona's east end boat ramp and harbour. It is believed the dog was out on the island for at least a week, though he is in good contition, and now the humane society hopes to find his owners. (photo by Katie Derus/Winona Daily News)
