These are all from Visual Communication class last year with Bowey. All taken with film manually, and developed in a dark room, and then scanned. Makes me appriciate digital....

Mankato Ave ... Winona, Minn. at night.
I dont even remember what this was for... what the assignment was...

The days of 106....

Remember "My Little Pony" ... this isnt it.

A pasture of horses I happened across driving home from Independence? or maybe St. Charles? Somewhere in the back hills of Minnesota. At sunset. These three were the nicest/prettiest.

I Like Turtles....

Baby blandings turtle in Wabasha, Minn.

A female Blanding's Turtle crosses Wabasha County Road 84 in Kellogg on June 7, 2007 after laying her eggs in the Weaver sand dunes. Every spring, usually in the first two weeks of June, nearly 1,000 of these gravid (pregnant) turtles make the mile long journey from their home in the swamps to the dunes crossing the highway that separates them. The area is believed to be home to 15 - 20,000 Blanding's turtles along with seven other species of turtles. (photo by Katie Derus/Winona Daily News)

Midwest Winter... yay?

Pretty standard scene here ... since it blizzards like once a week. Sometimes twice when mother nature feels like making us work. (photo by Katie Derus/Winona Daily News)
First big snow in Minn back in November ... Ridgeway, Minn. (photo by Katie Derus/Winona Daily News)

Paisley Estella (The First Year)

Back the first week when she was 6lbs, and slept pretty much 24/7.

Haha, at a few days old she would fall asleep in the most random positions :)

Yay she woke up!

A few months old now and smiley!! And, like her mom, she loves leopard print.

More serious this time around.

Whatever's outside must be pretty fascinating...

Even older now... and more and more gorgeous every day.

11 months old! And still loving the leopard print... wierd? nope!

Winona, Minn. residents of all ages brave the cold December 10 evening to enjoy the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train as it makes its annual stop in Winona at the Amtrak station. The train brought Santa to town as well as a festive performance by Ennis featuring blues legend Colin Linden. (photo by Katie Derus/Winona Daily News)
